Privacy Policy

Picture Dex is an iPhone app for spotting the creatures around you and collecting them as stickers. This policy covers this website — the marketing site you're reading now — not the app, which will carry its own in-store policy. We wrote it the way we build everything else: plainly, with younger explorers in mind.

Who we are

This website is operated by Directivity Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15111903, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. The short version

• This website sets no tracking cookies.
• We run no third-party analytics and no ad networks.
• The only place we ask for anything is the optional Android "notify me" email box — and right now it doesn't even send or store what you type.
• We don't knowingly collect anything from children under 13.
• We never sell your information. There's nothing to sell.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies, does not embed pixels or beacons, and does not load any third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, nothing of that sort). We don't build a profile of you, and we don't follow you around the web.

What we collect

Today, on this pre-launch site, the honest answer is: nothing.

The one form on the site is the Android "notify me" email field. It is currently in a pre-launch test state, and on submit it does not transmit or store your email anywhere — the page simply tells you that sign-up isn't open yet and that nothing was sent. We'd rather say that out loud than quietly capture addresses.

What will happen when the notify form goes live

Before the Android launch we'll connect that form to a real email service. When we do:

• We'll use the email address you give us solely to notify you when the Android version is available (and perhaps a short heads-up shortly before).
• We will not sell, rent, or trade your email address.
• We won't add you to unrelated marketing.
• Every notification will include a one-click way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

When this changes, we'll update this policy and the "last updated" date above so the page always matches reality.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Picture Dex is made partly for kids and families, so we take children's privacy seriously. This website is not directed at collecting personal information from children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Android notify form asks only for an email address and is intended for a parent or an older user choosing to be notified — and, as noted above, it currently collects nothing at all.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us (below) and we will delete it promptly.

Fonts and other third parties

We load our display and body fonts from Google Fonts, a third-party service. To serve those font files, Google may receive and log standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type as part of delivering the fonts. We don't control that logging, and we don't receive any of it. If you'd like to avoid it, browser extensions and privacy settings that block third-party font loading will prevent the request. Aside from Google Fonts, the site loads no other third-party services.

Data security and retention

Because we currently collect nothing, there is nothing about you for us to secure or retain. Once the notify form goes live, any email addresses collected will be held only as long as needed to notify you about Android availability, and then removed.

Your choices

You can use this entire website without giving us anything. The Android email box is always optional. When it goes live, you'll be able to unsubscribe or request deletion at any time using the contact address below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site and app evolve — for example, when the notify form starts collecting emails, or when the app ships. We'll revise the "last updated" date at the top whenever we do.
